Robert Davletshin: “Other regions intend to adopt methods of Bashkir project “Sober Village”

Many Russian regions intend to adopt the project “Sober Village”, developed in Bashkir rural settlements, as the chairman of the regional public movement “Sober Bashkortostan” Robert Davletshin reported to the news agency “Bashinform”.
One week earlier at the head of Bashkir delegation he has taken part in the congress “Common Cause”, devoted to the problem of alcoholism and held in the Christ Savior Church, Moscow.
As Robert Davletshin reported to “Bashinform”, he has taken part in work of the section “Organization of work of regional sections of the movement “Common Cause”, where he introduced the projects “Sober Village”, “Temperance Week at higher and secondary special education institutions” and “The cycle of lectures about temperance at secondary schools”.
“Many leading politicians and public activists, such as Gennady Onishenko, Vladimir Zdanov and others, were broaching upon the problem of hard drinking in Russian villages” – he said – “Many delegates said that Bashkiria is located in the very center of the country and the whole of Russia looks at us as the leaders in struggle with hard drinking. The contest “Sober Village”, regularly held in Bashkiria, has aroused special interest among participants of the congress and representatives of about ten Russian regions – Tatarstan, Saratov, Chelyabinsk regions and some others – intend to adopt our positive experience in struggle with hard drinking in the countryside”.
