Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting with Director of the Institute for economic strategies under Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Ageev

On February 22 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting with the general director of the Institute for economic strategies under the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Ageev. The public affairs service of the President RB reports in the course of the meeting the parties were discussing prospects of economic development RB.

Answering the guest’s question to what extent the President of Bashkortostan can be called a complex person, Rustem Khamitov answered that in his activity he tried to take all nuances of present life into account.

“Nonetheless I can’t say I’m a complex person. I am rather open and sincere and here I can’ do anything with me. I can call a person, which many times changes his positions either publicly or secretly in rather short period of time, acting so due to reasonability, betraying friends and seeking adherents among former enemies, a complex person. I can’t act so” – the President RB answered.

Answering the question what three properties determine his work style as a manager, Rustem Khamitov answered so:

“I’d like to call just one property – systematic approach. I try to use this approach, considering any problem, and act, coming from these conclusions, trying to understand the basic reason and seeking the optimal way for solution of this or that problem”.

Alexander Ageev was interested how the President RB estimated the present situation in the system of management in the Republic and could this system be explained somehow. The answer was:

“In a whole, yes, it can be explained. I can support myself only on the structure, I inherited from my predecessor. It is quite clear that situation is very different from what I’d like to watch here now. That time many decisions were made first of all coming from emotions. These emotions were quite positive but mainly brought to zero economic effect”.
