Ufa competes for the right to hold summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization

Ufa competes for the right to hold a summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2014. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov reported that he had managed to reach the corresponding agreement with the President of Russian Federation concerning that.

“At the same time this procedure is rather complicated and we have to reach additional agreements with the members of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, so the final decision won’t be reached soon but we hope that Ufa will manage to get this summit”.

If Ufa manages to win the right to hold the summit, it will favorably affect the image of the city and of the Republic. Ufa will become recognizable in the world and it will give a new push to development of the city, attracting investments and improving local infrastructure.
