“Public Control” launches SMS-portal for complaints of violations during elections

On the eve of the presidential elections the association for protection of electorate rights “Public Control” launched the SMS-portal “The Code of Truth”, called to collect complaints of Russians concerning violations in the course of the elections. Beginning from February 7 anyone may send information concerning presumable violations of suffrage and any important news about current election campaign to the phone number: 8-916-99-33-22-4, RIA “NOVOSTI” reports.

According to the member of the Russian Public Chamber, the executive director of the association “Public Control” George Fedorov all incoming signals are subject to operative checkup. The association is ready to receive not only SMS but video and photo-materials too. The summarized data of the portal will be published after the day of voting – March 4 - and will be included into the analytical summary, devoted to the presidential campaign.

The project “The Code of Truth” works during federal and regional elections in Russia since 2009.
