Bashkir parliamentarians have monitored January food prices

Deputies of the State Council-Kurultay-RB have summed up the totals of price monitoring in January, the press-service of the Republican parliament reported.

The head of the workgroup, deputy Elena Rodina has reported that within the period between December 28, 2011, and February 2, 2012, the situation in the consumer market RB was characterized as stable. In average the cost of the main socially substantial foods in the Republic during the abovementioned period increased less than by 1%.

Reduction of the main food prices was registered in Ishimbay – by 0,1%, in Yanaul – by 0,2%, Ufa – 0,3%, Beloretsk – 0,5% and Mejgorie – 0,7%. In other cities foods became more expensive by 0,1-0,5% mainly due to the seasonal rise of meat and vegetables prices.

According to information of the Bashkir State Statistics Committee within the period between December 26, 2011, and January 30, 2012, eight items of foods have become cheaper by 0,6-3,6%. The rise of prices was registered on 15 items of socially important foods by 0,1-11%.
