Rustem Khamitov has met with moviemaker Alexander Sokurov

On February 4 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has met with the moviemaker, honorable activist of arts and national artist of Russia Alexander Sokurov in the Republic House.

Problems of cinematography development in the Republic were under discussion during this meeting.

Same day the demonstration of Alexander Sokurov’s film “Faust” has taken place in the cinema “RODINA” within the frames of the project “Governor’s Premiere”. The film “Faust” completes the series of the films, devoted to investigation of the nature of power (“Moloch”, “Taurus” and “The Sun”). The film is based on the first part of the Goethe’s famous tragedy (the first part).
