Rustem Khamitov has taken the floor during opening of the Bashkortostan Cup on Alpine ski and snowboard among veterans and amateurs

On January 15 the President RB Rustem Khamitov has taken the floor at the opening ceremony of Alpine ski and snowboard Cup among veterans and amateurs in Nurimanovsky region of Bashkortostan (the Alpine ski center “Pavlovsky Park”), the public affairs service of the President RB reports.

The Cup is meant for the lovers of Alpine ski and snowboard and for the professional sportsmen, whose regular sports activity was over more than five years ago. The best in Alpine ski are determined in seven age groups and in two groups for snowboard.

“Let me congratulate all of you with the beginning of today’s competitions” – Rustem Khamitov said to the participants of the tournament – “In 2011 we’ve organized the first competition of the Amateur Alpine Ski League and our experience turned out to be quite successful. I think our league will have good continuation because all of us are united by love for the favorite kind of sport. As for the prospects of Alpine ski in the Republic, I think, they are quite good and we will definitely restore the former glory of our Alpine ski centers in Sterlitamac and Beloretsk. Today we are searching for the resources and I am sure we will have excellent future”.
