Vladimir Putin has held a meeting with Rustem Khamitov in Moscow

The chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin has held a work meeting with the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, in the course of which the totals of social-economic development of the Republic in 2011 were under discussion, the public affairs service of the President RB reported. In total the indices of the Republic in industry, agriculture and building complex look quite satisfactory, even exceeding some all-Russian ones.

The President RB has demonstrated the main results to Vladimir Putin and reported that by the gross regional product the Republic will reach 110% - higher than the average all-Russian showing, i.e. about 940-950 rubles. The index of industrial production in November made up 109,7%. After the last year drought the situation in agriculture looks quite stable. Bashkir agrarians have harvested more than 3 million tons of grain and provided for the more than two-year reserve of fodders. The building complex RB also works stably. The pre-planned input of housing - 2 million 100 thousand square meters – is fulfilled and at that individual housing makes up 75% of this figure.

At the end of the meeting Rustem Khamitov reported that the Republican authority was turning to people in its everyday activity.

“The authority has to listen to people and we are working in this direction, trying to solve their everyday problems: housing and communal services, putting of streets, yards and entrances in order, transport and lighting” – the President RB said.
