Bashkortostan is preparing itself for celebration of Russia’s victory in the Patriotic War 1812

The gathering of the steering committee for preparation and holding of the celebrations, devoted to the victory of Russia in the Patriotic War-1812, has taken place in the Government RB.

According to the decree of the President of Russia this year is held under the sign of the 200th anniversary of Russia’s victory in the Patriotic War-1812. Our region has made its own contribution to this victory – 28 cavalry regiments and the Ufa infantry regiment have taken part in the military operations.

In the course of the gathering it was stated that the international conference, devoted to the 200th anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic War, would be held in Ufa at the beginning of June. The diorama “Bashkirs in the Patriotic War 1812” and the military-historical reconstruction of those events will be organized that time too.

In August the representatives RB will take part in the all-Russian military-historical festival “Borodino Day” in Moscow region and in October – in the festival on the occasion of the victory over Napoleon’s army in the city of Leipzig, Germany.

Besides, the monument to the warriors – the participants of the Patriotic War-1812 will be mounted in the Victory Park in December 2012. This very time the army of Napoleon was expelled from the country.
