60 thousand transparent ballot boxes will be used at presidential elections

About 60 thousand transparent ballot boxes will be purchased and used at the forthcoming presidential elections in March 2012, RIA "NOVOSTI" reports. The chairman of the Russian Central Election Committee Vladimir Churov has come out with such initiative, speaking at the recent meeting with the heads of regional election commissions. The Prime-Minister of Russian Government Vladimir Putin supported the idea.

Installation of about 60 thousand transparent ballot boxes will let "cover" about 50 million Russian voters. Such ballot boxes planned to install in all big cities of the country.
