Rustem Khamitov met regional representatives of ITAR-TASS

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held a meeting with the regional representatives of the news agency “ITAR-TASS”. They arrived in Ufa for participation in the seminar “Inforware for implementation of innovations in economics of Volga region”. Rustem Khamitov acquainted the guests with the industrial potential RB. He has mentioned that Bashkortostan is one of the most powerful regions in Russia, holding the seventh place by industrial production volume and population in the country.

“Along with Bashkir oil, honey and aviation engines Bashkortostan is famous with its nature and unique landscape. We have the steppe zone with numerous lakes. South Ural is fine. The highest peak Yamantau is 1620 meters at height and the nature here is excellent for skiing in winter and for drafting in summer” - Rustem Khamitov told the journalists.

The President RB has told in details about achievements-2011. The volume of industrial production is 110% and trade circulation is even growing.

“All our positions have stable pluses and there is no reason to complain” - he mentioned - “Financial positions of the Republic are stable. We have no debts and don't take credits. The budget-2011 will be executed even with small surplus”.

The President RB mentioned that the economics of the region was for along period of time oriented towards oil mining, oil refining and oil chemistry. At present time oil mining and refining make up almost 30% in the overall volume of industrial production, giving up to 32% of the budget revenues.

“We are trying to keep pace with the general tendencies, heading for modernization and attraction of investments and we are successful in it” - Rustem Khamitov said.
