Rustem Khamitov has taken part in the gathering of the Council under the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district

On December 9 the President of Bashkortostan has taken part in the gathering of the Council under the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district in the city of Yoshkar-Ola (Republic of Mari-Al) re “Ensuring of public security in the regions of Volga federal district”, the public affairs service of the President RB reports.

The gathering was held under the chairmanship of the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district Gregory Rapota and the members of the Council – regional governors, chief federal inspectors, representatives of federal and regional ministries and agencies – were taking part in it.

At the beginning of the gathering Gregory Rapota has cited the data of the sociological polls, according to which 49,9% of the interrogated citizens of Russia don't feel themselves fully protected in the streets and more than 40% negatively estimate the activity of Russian law-enforcement bodies. In opinion of the Plenipotentiary this situation has to be cardinally changed and first of all it is necessary to change the public attitude to ensuring of public safety.
