Exhibition “The history of elections – the history of the country” is opened in Ufa

On the eve of the State Duma elections on December 22 the exhibition “The history of elections – the history of the country” was solemnly opened in Ufa, the National Library by Akhmet-Zaki Validi. It is organized by the Central Election Commission RB, the Ministry for culture RB, the Archive Dept under the Government RB and formed by the National Library RB, the State Book Chamber RB, the Central State Historical Archive RB, the Central State Archive of public communities RB and by the state TV-radio company “Bashkortostan”.

“The unique exposition, showing the springs of the Russian electoral system and its present day is interesting for any audience – from veterans to students and pupils” - the chairman of the Central Election Commission RB Khaidar Valeev said at the opening ceremony - “The visitors may examine rare “electoral pages” of the history of elections in Bashkortostan – since the revolution of 1917 and till nowadays”.

The exhibition will work till December 12.
