On November 20 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov visited the ceremony of putting the second turn of the universal sports center “Ufa-Arena” into exploitation, the public affairs service of the President RB reports.
For the reference: The universal sports center “Ufa-Arena” is considered the biggest sports object with artificial ice in Bashkortostan. Its area exceeds 30 thousand square meters. The center consists of the main skating ring with the stands for 7950 spectators and the new small skating ring for 650 spectators. The erection of the second turn of the object started in May 2010. The overall estimated cost of the object amounts to 562 million rubles – the means were allocated by the federal and the Republican budgets as well as by the off-budget sources.
The five-storied building of the object's second turn includes a skating ring for hockey, the universal gaming hall for volleyball, handball and basketball, the medical and recovery auxiliary facilities and the two-storied parking.
