The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Bashkortostan

The President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Bashkortostan on a work visit on November 19. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov was meeting the head of the Russian state at the airport of Ufa, the public affairs service of the President RB reports.
Dmitry Medvedev and Rustem Khamitov have visited the Republican clinical hospital by G.G. Kuvatov, where they were watching the units for oxygenation, the operation for liver stenting and became acquainted with the database on the operations, made earlier.
After that Dmitry Medvedev, accompanying by Rustem Khamitov, has visited one of the wards and communicated with the patients, having undergone the transplantation of kidney. The doctors told the President of Russia that 23 operations for renal transplantation had been made by the surgeons of the hospital in 2011.
“Earlier such operations were made only by the best European hospitals. Now such high-tech medical aid is available for our patients too” - the head of the vascular surgery department Amir Khamitov reported to the President of Russia.
Further the President of Russia has met the personnel of the hospital and answered their questions.
For the reference: the Republican clinical hospital by G.G. Kuvatov is meant for 1200 visits per shift and it has the stationary with 1120 beds. 2264 people, including 532 doctors work here.
Dmitry Medvedev pays a visit to Bashkortostan for the second time in 2011. On February he has held the gathering of the State Council Presidium, devoted to consolidation of international harmony in Russian society, in Ufa.
