Dmitry Medvedev and Rustem Khamitov have discussed the state of health protection system in Bashkortostan

The meeting of the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev with the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, where the state of health protection in the Republic was under discussion, has become the final step in his work trip to Ufa.

Dmitry Medvedev has highly estimated the Republican clinical hospital by G.G. Kuvatov, which became the first halt during his today's visit to the capital of Bashkortostan.

“It is very important that the system of ambulatory medical aid, as well as the system of medical aid for pregnant women would develop along with the high-tech aid. The Republic is big and such projects are called to make the demographic situation better” - the President of Russia mentioned.

Rustem Khamitov has told him that for the last years much was done in this sphere in Bashkortostan.

“First of all we pay attention to the health protection of children both in towns and in the countryside” - he said -”Thus, the field Republican Council will be held the next week in the northeast of the Republic. The interregional medical high-tech center will be erected there for servicing five regions of Bashkortostan”.

The President RB has underscored that such centers are especially important for the Republic, where 40% of its population live out of towns. Rustem Khamitov has also mentioned that serious attention is paid not just to establishment of the high-tech medical centers but also to the activity of the medical and obstetrical medical field points. More than 100 such points with drugstores were opened in Bashkir regions in 2011. At the same time the material and technical base of the central regional hospitals is strengthened too and new interregional medical centers are erected.

“We intend to spend more than 15 billion rubles within the frames of the program for health protection modernization in Bashkiria for two years and for the first time we are investing such huge sums into this sphere. By the end of 2012 we will reach a new quality in our health protection” - the President RB mentioned.

The President of Bashkortostan has also told the President of Russia about some big Republican projects in health protection sphere and thanked him for the assistance, rendered by the federal center to Bashkortostan, without which such promising projects in health protection sphere would be impossible.
