The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov congratulated all Muslims of the Republic with the holiday of Kurban-Bayram. The text of his congratulation is cited shortly below:

“Dear Muslims of Republic of Bashkortostan!

With all my heart let me congratulate you with the light holiday of Kurban-bayram!

In the course of many centuries this holiday demonstrates high moral values of traditional Islam, history and culture of the Muslim world and in these days every believer opens his heart wide to mercy and justice, empathy and care of his neighbors.

The adherence to these universal values is considered the base of international and inter-confessional harmony, contributing to spiritual recovery of the society, moral and patriotic education of younger generations and the many-sided efficient activity of Republican Muslim community is aimed at that: new mosques are erected everywhere and the system of Muslim education is constantly perfected. Republican Muslims take an active part in charity, consolidation of family values and inter-religious interaction.

This holiday is celebrated widely and with great joy in Bashkortostan. Every year our Muslims go on hajj, the prayers about prosperity of our land can be heard in every mosque. People treat the needy and visit their relatives and friends.
