All-Russian National Front initiates establishment of the Ministry for culture and ethnic policy

The all-Russian National Front suggests that the Ministry for culture and ethnic policy should be established in Russia and it has to become liable for harmonization of inter-ethnic relations.

“Because of the regularly arising proposals for establishment of the federal executive power body, responsible for harmonization of inter-ethnic relations, ethnic-cultural development of the nations and integration of the national minorities it would be expedient to consider the opportunity to delegate these functions to the Ministry for culture of Russia, thus transforming it to the Ministry for culture and ethnic policy, thereby excluding the politicization of both the theme and the Ministry” - RIA “NOVOSTI sites the pre-election program of the Front, which the political party “United Russia” intends to take part in the elections with, published on Sunday.

At the same time the all-Russian National Front highlights the necessity to work up the strategy for consolidation of the Russian civilization's unity and ethnic-cultural development of the nations, found in the staff of Russian Federation.

“This step will definitely ensure the state approach in this sphere (the civil unity of Russia's nations is undoubtedly considered the aim of the federal level) and will encourage the regions to more active investments to their ethnic-cultural potential, all-national unity and to prevention of ethnic-political extremism. Every Russian region should have its own regional program in this sphere” - said in the program.
