Presentation of Bashkortostan has taken place in Riga

Presentation of Bashkortostan, organized within the frames of the international project for cooperation between the city of Riga and Russian regions and with the assistance of the media holding company “Absolutely Secretly”, has taken place in the State Duma of Riga, the representative of Bashkortostan's state committee for UNESCO affairs in the Baltic region Rina Khamitova reported to “Bashinform”.

As the Plenipotentiary RB under the President of Russia Rustem Vildanov informs, development of close economic and cultural relations with Latvia can become very promising for Bashkortostan. Thus, our Republic is interested in assembly of its machine-building products on the territory of Latvia in order to export these products later as the European ones. Thanks to suitable geographic dislocation of the seaport in Riga the opening of the trade delegates in this city can become useful for Bashkortostan. For the first six months of 2011 the commodity circulation between Bashkortostan and Latvia has made up 1,3 billion dollars. 1,1 billion fall on the transit of chemicals to other countries. As for the deliveries of Latvian goods for Bashkortostan, they are rather small – just 200 thousand dollars for the first half of the year.
