Imams of five Bashkir regions have held a meeting in Karmaskalinsky region RB

Imams of Aurgazinsky, Alsheevsky, Chishminsky, Davlekanovsky and Karmaskalinsky regions have met in the central mosque of Karmaskalinsky region. Representatives of local administration and the Russian Islamic University (Ufa) were present at the meeting too.

“Protection of morality, education in the spirit of patriotism, consolidation of inter-confessional harmony and protection of family traditions – these aims should be of top priority for the religious organizations” - the deputy head of Karmaskalinsky regional administration Ilmira Galiakhmetova stated - “At present time the mankind often faces such phenomena as alcoholism, suicide and drug addiction. We have to consolidate ourselves in order to struggle with this evil and we are happy that the religious activists in our region follow these positions”.

The imams have discussed the problems of the forthcoming hajj, development of Muslim education, struggle with extremism and pointed to the necessity to consolidate international and inter-confessional relations both in Bashkortostan and Russia.
