Rustem Khamitov has met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland in Russia Voizech Zayonchkovsky

On October 18 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland in Russian Federation Voizech Zayonchkovsky, the public affairs service of the President RB reports.
“You've already become acquainted with the main economic showings of our Republic and understand that we are considered one of the biggest Russian regions. By many parameters we are found in the Top 10 in the country: by economic indices, by the gross regional product and agriculture” - Rustem Khamitov mentioned - “At present time we are turning to the innovational way of development. We attract modern companies and sign cooperation agreements with them. We invite investors. This is a new interesting process, which will certainly bring new results in the future. It is extremely important for us to establish the contacts with such big countries as Poland. At present time the trade circulation between our enterprises is rather high but the balance is in favor of Bashkortostan thanks to the export of oil products. In 2010 the export sums reached 500 million USD. In 2011 we are already exceeding this figure. But we import not many goods from Poland, just for the sum of 1,5 million USD. Now we have to think how to improve this situation. Our Republic would like to establish mutually beneficial contacts with Polish enterprises” - Rustem Khamitov underscored.
“Though the Polish-Russian economic relations are developing smoothly, they need certain improvement. There is the potential which we have to use. The trade circulation between Poland and Bashkortostan in many respects reflects the relations, existing between Poland and Russia. In total complexity the trade circulation-2011 is expected on the level of 30 billion dollars and, sure, we aren't satisfied with it, since it generates high deficit. Russia is also not satisfied with the character of this exchange because we export ready-made products and buy only the staff. This problem is found under discussion on the level of Warsaw and Moscow for many years” - M-r Zayonchkovsky said - “I think we have to improve this situation. Bashkortostan holds very high positions in Russia and I am sure we have certain opportunities to keep stable economic contacts”.
The diplomat has underscored that the most interesting offers today are the offers, concerned with the program “GREENEVO”, found under the patronage of the Ministry of environment. The contest is held every year and local enterprises submit the applications for support of their ecological projects. The Ministry of environment chooses about ten best projects annually.
“These projects receive state backing and we are ready to share the information in this sphere” - the Ambassador reported - “The second direction is machine-building, especially machine-building in sphere of food industry and agriculture. Here we've managed to reach good results. We are becoming quite competitive in this sphere and we are ready to cooperate here too. The next direction is connected with municipal economy and urban transport – trams, trolley-buses and buses. There are the companies in Poland, which are busy with production of buses and trams on the highest European level, selling the overwhelming majority of their products in the markets of Scandinavia and Germany. The fourth theme is financing of economic contacts. Our business runs together with credits and we have the state bank, which program for export funding, between CIS states first of all, is meant for four years, weighing about two billion dollars, plus the insurance of credits by the state insurance corporation, busy exclusively with export, i.e. this is the insurance of export and investments. Since Bashkortostan possesses high financial rates it will be easy to get the most comfortable mechanisms for crediting and insurance in our economic activity”.
