Rustem Khamitov about results of “United Russia” XII congress

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov commented upon the results of “United Russia” XII congress.

“Vladimir Putin is undoubtedly the most popular politician in Russian Federation for today and the results of many sociologic polls and rates prove that, so the elimination of his candidature to the post of the future President of Russia looks quite logic. All of us remember how Vladimir Putin managed to ensure order and stability in the country in the hard times for Russia – in the beginning of 2000s. This is the main condition for development for any state. As a member of “United Russia” I support the proposal of the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. We know that the President of Russia and the Chairman of the Government of Russia play in one team, so from the point of view of continuity of the political course this decision is optimal. At the same time in the course of the congress Vladimir Putin was talking much about the necessity of changes in Russian Federation. It concerns the additional authorities for the regions, perfection of the tax system and the rise of management efficiency”.

In the course of the XII congress of “United Russia” the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev offered the members of the party to vote for the candidature of the Chairman of Russian Government Vladimir Putin to the post of the President RF. Vladimir Putin in his turn offered the President of Russia to head the list of “United Russia” at the elections to the Russian State Duma.

The “United Russia” congress approved the list of candidates to the Russian State Duma. In particular 18 people are included in the regional group of the federal list from Bashkortostan and this group is headed by the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov
