International Islamic conference started working in Ufa

The IV annual international scientific-practical conference “Ideals and values of Islam in education space of the XXI century” started working in Ufa Congress-Hall today. The forum is held within the frames of the federal program for assistance to development of Islamic education in Russian Federation. The program is realized by secular and religious education institutions of the country. The conference is held under the patronage of the President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov with the purpose to maintain stability, peace and peaceful coexistence of the nations, living on the territory of Bashkortostan. The conference is organized by the Bashkir State Pedagogical University by M. Akmullah, the Russian Islamic University under the Central Clerical Muslim Dept of Russia and by the council for state and inter-religious relations under the President of Bashkortostan.

Representatives of Bashkir Government, activists of science, education and religion, diplomats, muftis and guests fr om CIS and foreign countries (Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Morocco, Turkey and France) are taking part in its work.

The forum will be held during two days. The plenary session is held in Ufa Congress-Hall today. Tomorrow, September 23, the delegates of the scientific forum will take part in work of the sections, wh ere the problems of compatibility of Islam and science, social and philosophical ideals of Islam and other questions are to be discussed. The “round table” “International cooperation and interaction in Islamic education” will take place within the frames of the conference.
