Rustem Khamitov: “Authority and politicians should be oriented to work for people”

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov focused the attention of the delegates on the ratio between economics and politics in activity of the Republican authority and the political party “United Russia” at today’s Republican “United Russia” conference in Ufa.

“I think that the Republican authority performs its main aim in sphere of politics – the administrative barriers on the way of free society’s development are gradually removed” – the President of Bashkortostan said – “All political forces are equal in rights and I want to say it with full responsibility. The international relations are stable and nobody doubts this stability. To my mind the authority should concentrate itself on solution of the problems, which really trouble our citizens”.

Rustem Khamitov mentioned that “United Russia” was first of all a political institution as any other party.

“From one side “United Russia” should be engaged in politics and from the other side this is the party of power and it has to be engaged in the things our people are waiting for from it. And they are waiting for solution of their quite concrete and real problems and in the overwhelming majority these problems are purely economic. People are waiting for the concrete results. The authority and politicians should be oriented to work for people. I am happy that “United Russia” understands that and don’t try to avoid economic problems”.
