The II Council of Russians to be held in Ufa

The Second Council of Russians will be opened in Ufa on September 30 at 10 o’clock in the morning in the building of the State Council RB. The date, the place and the time were approved at the gathering of the steering committee, responsible for preparation for the Council, held by the chairman of the State Council RB Constantine Tolkatchev.

The First Council of Russians has taken place also in Ufa in 1998 and the vitally important questions concerning development and consolidation of international relations in Bashkortostan were under discussion there.

About 1,5 million Russians – 36% of the population RB – live on the territory of Bashkortostan now, mainly in the cities. It is preliminary expected that 326 delegates – one delegate on 4500 people – will take part in the Council.

The representatives of the World Russian Council, honorable guests from other Russian regions, the federal center, representatives of national-cultural communities RB and public organizations will be invited too and the overall number of the guests can reach more than 130 people.

It is decided to hold the II Council of Russians one day with the XXI international Aksakov’s festival.
