Traditional Bashkir “Village Festival” to be held in Chelyabinsk region

The “Village Festival” will take place on July 29 in the village Sultaevo, Chelyabinsk region, the press-secretary of Bashkortostan’s Permanent Representative Office in Chelyabinsk region Michael Khabirov reported to the news agency “Bashinform”.
The stands “Let’s look into the family album”, telling about the past of the village, will be installed near the decorated stage. The family trees of the villagers and the photo-exhibition about the village’s life nowadays will be present too.
Besides, the performances of Bashkir folk amateur bands are scheduled by the program, which also includes various contests – for the best Bashkir dish and for the best Bashkir jurt, “The Youngest Family”, “The Oldest Family” and “The best flower bed” will be determined. The toilers of agriculture, veterans of war and young specialists will be honored during the show. National Bashkir wresting “kuresh” competition will take place on the sports ground.
The village Sultaevo dates to the XVIII century. Here the great Bashkir composer and pedagogue Khalik Zaimov was born. The composer’s house, where the memorial tablet is installed, is carefully preserved by the villagers.
The beginning of the show is at 16 o’clock.
