Talgat Tadjuddin proposed to restrict coverage of the acts of terror by mass-media

The Chairman of the Central Clerical Muslim Dept of Russia, the Supreme Mufti Talgat Tadjuddin suggested that the time the TV-channels devote to coverage of the acts of terror and extremism should be cut down. He made such proposal during the meeting of the Chairman of the Government RF Vladimir Putin with the representatives of clergy and public organizations in the headquarters of the all-Russian National Front, mass-media report.
“For example, one explosion strikes somewhere and our mass-media start shouting about it every hour all over the country” – the Mufti mentioned.
According to him the citizens of Russia know more about life of animals and in other countries than about the nations in their own country, about their compatriots, traditions and religions.
“As for the deeds of terrorists, perhaps, TV and mass-media should start talking less about it?” – Talgat Tadjuddin proposed.
