President of Bashkortostan approves the initiative to provide the families, rearing children with disabilities, with lands

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held a work meeting with the deputy Chairman of the State Council-Kurultay-RB Lilia Gumerova, the deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Fidus Yamaltdinov and with the chairman of the Union of Mothers RB Gulshat Ibragimova. The necessity to perfect the supporting measures for the families, having children with disabilities, on the legislative level was the main theme in the course of the discussion.

“The problem with housing remains very urgent for the families, having children with disabilities” – Gulshat Gumerova said – “According to the federal legislation such families have the right to acquire ground areas on preferential terms but this norm isn’t executed in Bashkortostan because corresponding mechanisms on the executive level are absent. After receiving numerous complaints on this problem we introduced the corresponding initiative to the Republican parliament. The deputies supported us. Now this question is found under consideration by the regional authority”.

The President RB supported the idea to introduce the amendments to the Republican legislation concerning the norms of land allocation for the families, having children with disabilities. The President was interested how many children with disabilities lived in the Republic at present time. He was informed that there were more than 14 thousand children in the Republic now. For the last five years this showing grows by 5% per year on average.
