Shuamal Majumdar: “Correct approach to professional technical education is a guarantee of stable development in society”

The international gathering, devoted to opening of the regional UNEVOC network in CIS “Establishment of contacts and development of professional-technical education in CIS” is held in Ufa today and experts of the national UNEVOC centers in CIS and Europe are taking part in its work.

The opening of the regional UNEVOC network in CIS will become a contribution to activity of the UNESCO Bureau in Moscow according to the detailed design “Reforming and strengthening of the professional technical education systems and development of the potentials of the states – UNESCO members in order youth and adults would master knowledge, professional qualities and skills for the world of labor”.

One of the VIP-guests - the head of the international UNESCO-UNEVOC center Shuamal Majumdar believes that correct approach to professional technical education is able to guarantee stable development of any society.

“I’m happy to be present at one of the most important meetings within the UNIVOC frames. We develop this system all over the world and as a result we have 283 offices in 167 countries. Our main aim now is to activate the work in sphere of the professional technical education on a worldwide scale. We sincerely believe that the regional networks we are talking about now are able to make the UNESCO policy with respect to the professional technical education a reality. If education is the key to progress, the professional technical education is the base, able to solve all problems with unemployment and stable development”.
