Rustem Khamitov will take part in the session of the Russian State Council Presidium on ecology

On June 9, in the city of Dzerzhinsk the President of Bashkortostan of Rustem Khamitov will take part in the session of the Russian State Council of Presidium «About measures on ecological safety maintenance while realising large investment projects and liquidation of the accumulated ecological damage».

The session will be held by the head of the state Dmitry Medvedev. Yuriy Trutnev, the minister of natural resources and ecology, Igor Sechin, the vice-chairman of the government of the country, heads of corporations "Rosatom" and "RusHydro", the federal agency on ecological, technogenic and nuclear regulation, the federal agency on supervision in the sphere of consumers protection and human welfare, representatives of the World Wide Fund for Nature in Russia, the heads of Russian regions will also take part in it.

Dzerzhinsk is the second on population and industrial significance city of the Nizhniy Novgorod Region, and one of the centres of chemical industry of the country. Many experts include this settlement in the top ten of the most contaminated.
