Bashkir parliamentarians offer British colleagues to exchange experience

The chairman of the State Council-Kurultay-RB offered the British Consul General in Yekaterinburg James McGuire to examine the possibility of exchanging experience with British colleagues, mainly in sphere of law-making activity.
“We pay much attention to inter-parliamentary relations and I’d like to express such desire on behalf of our deputies. If the British colleagues are interested in our proposal, we are ready to cooperate with them in law-making activity closer, since there is no other such country in the world, having such centuries-old law-making history, as England” – Constantine Tolkatchev said during the meeting with James McGuire.
The Consul General has promised in his turn to inform British parliamentarians about this proposal. As the Consul said, he has arrived in Yekaterinburg half a year ago. The estimation of Ural region’s opportunities from the point of view of cooperation with the Great Britain is considered his main aim.
“I’ve got the impression the management structure in the Republic is thought through very wisely. We’d like to have as much contacts as possible in sphere of trade and investments. During our visit to Bashkortostan we already have enough time to discuss some variants of our possible cooperation, including energy-saving, science, language acquisition and chemical industry” – the Consul General has stated.
