Gregory Rapota congratulated citizens of Volga federal district with Cosmonautics Day
The Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district Gregory Rapota congratulated all citizens of the district with the Cosmonautics Day and with the 50th anniversary of the first human spaceflight:
“On April 12, 1961, our country has been by right called the cosmic state. Scientists, researchers and specialists of many technical and other professions were working for the sake of the great goal – for exploration of earlier never investigated spaces. This general idea was that high slat, overcoming which the state became the leader in the world community. Our compatriots have managed to do impossible in those difficult after-war living conditions. And Uri Gagarin’s “Let’s go!” sounds as the symbol of the great possibilities of human mind, labor and purposefulness that time and now. Volga federal district has special attitude towards Uri Gagarin’s flight as well as to the cosmic investigations. Specialists have met the first cosmonaut after his flight on Saratov’s land. The first descent module of the legendary Soviet spaceship “Vostok” has landed in Udmurtia. The carrier rockets for launching the Russian spaceships are built in Samara and many cosmonauts are from Volga regions by origin. The crew, piloted by the commander from Penza region, is on the orbit now. We are proud of the achievements of our compatriots and respect the contribution of every toiler to development of progress and strengthening of our state’s power!”.
The Plenipotentiary of the President of Russian Federation in Volga federal district has congratulated all citizens of Volga federal district with the Cosmonautics Day and wished all of them and “especially young people to believe in their dreams, making all possible to make these dreams a reality”.
