Bashkiria will send 8100 recruits to army in spring

Bashkiria will send 8100 recruits to the Russian Armed Forces this spring, the acting Military Commissar RB Ildar Bagautdinov reports.

“This number of recruits is comparable with the same number during the spring draft-2010” – he said – That time we’ve recruited 8250 young men. The autumn draft is traditionally higher and, for example, we’ve managed to recruit 12225 young people in autumn-2010”.

At present time 2,5 thousand recruits have already passed medical examination and 80% admitted able-bodied for military service. It is expected that by the end of the draft the level of suitability will be about 70%.

“In 2010 we had the 69%-suitability of the recruits” – the chairman of the medical commission Robert Ziangirov said – “It is slightly higher than in the country on average (67,6%) as well as in Volga federal district (65,4%). The suitability is the highest in such regions as Tuva (84,8%), Mordvinia (77,1%) and Mari-Al (76%).

The spring draft will last till the end of June and its results will be summed up on July 15.
