Saudi Arabia is willing to invest in Bashkir agriculture

Saudi Arabia intends to invest in agriculture of Bashkiria, as the President RB Rustem Khamitov reported to the journalists in State Duma of Russia.

According to him large business delegation fr om Saudi Arabia will leave for our Republic in the nearest future. Their interest in our agriculture is explained first of all by the fact that the Arab word faces very serious problem with provisions now and Arabs needs the regions, wh ere they can invest and receive foodstuffs instead. Bashkiria suits them ideally from this point of view. The presence of Islamic mentality and the possibility to launch wide Halal production are the main Republican advantages. Besides, Bashkortostan is located not too far from Saudi Arabia as distinct from some of its strategic partners. For instance, Saudi Arabia imports beef from Brazil today.

According to M-r Khamitov Arabs are interested in cooperation in sphere of oil chemistry too. The first wide international forum “Big Chemistry” will be held in Bashkiria in May and businessmen from Saudi Arabia intend to be present there. Besides, a group of journalists from this country expected to arrive in Bashkiria in May-June. Arab journalists would like to get to know our Republic better and to tell about it later to the whole Arab world.
