The Days of Republic of Bashkortostan are opened in State Duma

Solemn opening of the Days of Republic of Bashkortostan in State Duma of Russia has taken place in Moscow. In opinion of the State Duma Chairman Boris Gryzlov this action gives the Republic a chance to demonstrate its achievements and discuss many important questions, which can become the base for the future federal bills, with the leadership of the Russian parliament.

“The percent of regional initiatives, finally becoming the federal laws, has noticeably risen for the last several years” – Boris Gryzlov said – “Ten years ago just 1-2% of the proposals, offered by the regional parliaments, became the laws. Now about 20% of regional initiatives, including Bashkiria, become a reality”.

“The Days of Republic of Bashkortostan in State Duma is a new word in communication with such important element of the state structure of Russia for us” – the President RB Rustem Khamitov mentioned – “Turning to the innovational way of development our Republic is willing to use this chance in order to demonstrate its natural potential and economic opportunities. Bashkortostan was always a reliable subject of Russia and let the leadership of the country down under no circumstances”.
