Chairmen of State Council RB and Majilis of Kazakhstan have discussed problems of inter-parliamentary cooperation

The inter-parliamentary cooperation in the general context of Kazakh-Russian relations has become the main theme of the talks, which have taken place yesterday during the meeting of the chairman of the State Council-Kurultay-RB Constantine Tolkatchev and the chairman of Kazakhstan’s Majilis Ural Mukhametdjanov.
After the mutual greetings and talks about the historical prerequisites, spiritual cognation and commonality of our cultures the parties have discussed modern development of parliamentarism in our republics and the prospects of the trade-economic integration, opened within the frames of the Customs Union and thanks to the forthcoming foundation of the common free market zone.
“We’ll have the vast market, stretching from Brest to Vladivostok, with the population 170 million people” – the speaker of the Kazakh Majilis has underscored – “So the legislative provision of new relations becomes of paramount importance”.
The parties were also discussing the presidential election campaign, the forms of near-boundary cooperation, mutual investments, the global financial crisis and results of social modernization in Kazakhstan, the press-service of the Majilis reported.
