Rustem Khamitov: “We managed to launch the process of mobilization of earlier idle resources”

Bashkiria managed to launch the process of mobilization of earlier idle resources, the President of the Republic Rustem Khamitov believes.

“The amount of foreign investments has grown by 83% in 2010, as compared with 2009, and exceeded 500 million USD” – he reported, taking the floor with the annual Message to the State Council RB on Tuesday – “The industry also positively responded to the change of this situation. Industrial production has grown by 14% in 2010”.

As Rustem Khamitov said, the Government RB will continue moving towards more openness and decentralization. The rights and competence of the subjects of economic and public-political life have to be widened and not only the Government should determine the key directions in progress of the region but the deputy corps, local self-government and public communities have also take an active part in this process.

“Modern information technologies have to become the most important instrument for involving wide public in activity on making the most important solutions” – Rustem Khamitov said – “Here the authorities of all levels have to make their work more active. The information about our activity has to be open for all people. The logic is quite simple: the authority has to listen to the ordinary people and it has to be done since the strategy, based on closeness, conservatism and restriction of the political competition, doesn’t work any more”.
