Conference, devoted to Mordvinian culture, has taken place in Ufa

The conference “Mordvinian culture is the prosperity of multinational Russia” has taken place in Ufa on March 10 within the frames of the Days of Republic of Mordvinia in Bashkiria. Its participants were discussing the problems of interrelations between our Republics, the role of Finno-Ugric nations in history of Russia and modern problems of Mordvinian nation.

The deputy Chairman of the Mordvinian Government, Minister of culture Peter Tultaev said Bashkir authority paid serious attention to preservation of the native languages, including the Mordvinian one and underscored the leadership of Mordvinia was also busy with development of the national cultures of the nations, inhabiting Mordvinia.

“We render assistance to the Mordvinians, living in Bashkiria” – he reported – “We present them national books and clothes and often invite local representatives of Mordvinian nation to our Republic – all this lies within our interests. Besides, we render moneyed assistance to the Mordvinian communities, living beyond our Republic, and invite young people to study at our institutes at the expense of the Republic budget”.

Peter Tultaev promised to help in organization of the Mordvinian historical-cultural center in Bashkiria.

The deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Zugura Rakhmatullina reported the solid legislative base, called to regulate all aspects of national-cultural development of Bashkortostan’s nations is available in the Republic.

“We have the state programs “Nations RB” and others for preservation, study and development of languages and folklore of the nations, inhabiting modern Bashkortostan” – she reported.
