An Udmurt yard to be erected in Tatyshlinsky region

An Udmurt yard will be erected in Tatyshlinsky region of Bashkiria within the frames of the Year of international agreement, declared in our Republic. The yard will be decorated in accordance with the national Udmurt traditions and various national festivals will be held in this center. Tatyshlinsky region is traditionally considered the place of Udmurt compact habitation – more than 22 thousand Udmurts live here at present time.

The President of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov and the chairman of the Udmurt Republic’s State Council Alexander Soloviev have visited the region the day before.

“The problems of international agreement are considered equally important for both our regions” – Alexander Soloviev said – “the representatives of more than 100 nationalities live in Udmurtia now and you have at least the same picture here, in Bashkiria. Our compatriots in Tatyshlinsky region assimilated the local population. They don’t divide themselves and other people by the national sign and thanks to that the harmony between different nations is maintained”.
