The law, aimed at social housing cheapening, to be passed in Bashkiria

The bill, aimed at cheapening of social dwelling and rise of its construction volumes, was discussed by the deputies of the Bashkir parliament.

The bill will allocate the right to obtain the free lands, found in state and municipal property, by socially-oriented non-commercial organizations, established by the Republican state unitary enterprises for construction of cheap social housing.

“The active law “Regulation of land relations in RB” presumes that the lands areas can be distributed free among ordinary citizens” – the chairman of the committee for agrarian problems, ecology and nature management Franis Saifullin says – “But this law says nothing about such right for the legal persons and it hampers development of the national top priority project “Available and comfortable housing for citizens of Russia”, so we decided to alter the Republican law, which would permit to allocate free land areas to the organizations, specializing in construction of social housing”.

The bill will be considered by the deputies in the first reading on February 24. In opinion of the experts such law allows substantially lowering the cost of one square meter of social housing. In this case it becomes quite possible to start wide-scaled social housing construction all over Bashkiria.
