Dmitry Medvedev and Rustem Khamitov held a meeting with the representatives of large national communities of Bashkiria

The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev paid a visit to the Museum of archeology and ethnography RB in the course of his visit to Ufa, where the gathering of Russian State Council Presidium, devoted to the measures on consolidation of international agreement in Russian society is to take place today.

The Museum of archeology and ethnography is the largest depository of the objects, belonging to the ethnic-cultural heritage of the nations, inhabiting the territory of South Ural fr om the most ancient times and till nowadays. The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and the President of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov inspected the hall of Bashkir culture, where the President of Russia became interested in the exposition, devoted to bee-keeping, hunting and fishing as well as in the national Bashkir clothes and jurts. Further the VIP-guests entered the hall, where the unique exposition “The Gold of Sarmatians” was demonstrated.

Here, inside the Museum of archeology and ethnography RB Dmitry Medvedev and Rustem Khamitov had a talk to the representatives of the large national communities, inhabiting Bashkiria. The President of Russian Federation has stated that it looks very symbolically that the today’s gathering is held in Bashkiria, wh ere the representatives of different ethnoses live side by side in peace and harmony in the course of many centuries.

“We mustn’t forget about the necessity to work over the consolidation of the national unity in our country” – Dmitry Medvedev underscored.
