Representative office of Russian Ministry of foreign affairs in Ufa monitors the situation with Russian students in Cairo

The representative office of Ministry of foreign affairs RF in Ufa monitors the situation with Russian students in Cairo, the first secretary of the office Vener Galiakbarov reported to “Bashinform”.

“We sent the addresses to the Middle East and South Africa Dept of the Ministry of foreign affairs RF concerning this situation” – he said – “And the Russian diplomats in Cairo already received corresponding instructions to investigate the situation”.

As M-r Galiakbarov said, the Russian Embassy in Egypt failed to get to know the situation with the students from the first hands because the students informed the Clerical Muslim Dept RB first, since the Dept sent them to study at the International Islamic University in Cairo. The Clerical Muslim Dept appealed to the President RB and further the information about our students was spread through other state channels.

It has to be reminded that 120 Russian students, studying at the International Islamic University Al-Azkhar turned out to be blockaded at the University’s hostel during the disturbances in Cairo, including 50 students from Bashkortostan.
