The next conference of Turk News Agency Union to be held in Astana

The next conference of the Turk News Agency Union (TKA) will take place in the capital of Kazakhstan – Astana. This decision has been reached at the last gathering of the Union in Istanbul. The heads of the news agencies, found in the staff of this Union, have taken part in it – “Anadoly” (Turkey), “AZERTAJ” (Azerbaijan), “KAZINFORM” (Kazakhstan), TAK (Northern Cyprus), “Bashinform” (Bashkortostan) and “Tatar-Inform”. The representatives of the news-agency “KABAR” (Kyrgyzstan) and “Crimean News” – also the members of the Turk News Agency Union – failed to arrive in Istanbul because of some objective reasons. The deputy editor-in-chief Alik Shakirov has taken part in the gathering fr om the news agency “Bashinform”.
The General Director of the news agency “KAZINFORM” (Kazakhstan) Dauren Diarov has assured all representatives of the Union, present at the gathering, that “KAZINFORM” is ready to organize the conference in Astana at the appropriate level the next year. It was stated at the Istanbul’s gathering that the Turk New Agency Union contributed to uniting and closer relations between Turk-speaking countries, widened the information space and was useful for exchange with experience between the news agencies. The site of the Turk News Agency Union www.tkaonline.org, launched three years ago, gives all news agencies a opportunity to inform people about the most important events, happening in the regions, wh ere these agencies work.
The participants of the gathering in Istanbul have also taken part in the conference of the Organization of the Asian-Pacific News Agency (OANA), called “Istanbul is the cultural capital of Europe-2010”. The representatives of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan participated in the OANA conference as observers.
43 news agencies from different countries took part in the OANA forum in Istanbul. Opening the forum the executive director of the “Anatolian News Agency” (Anadolu) Shekib Avdakitch told about role of the news agencies in rapprochement of nations and civilizations and said he was happy to welcome the leaders of the world news agencies in the city of Istanbul, connecting Europe and Asia. The deputy Prime-Minister of Turkey, Public Minister Bulent Arynch has welcomed the guests on behalf of the Turkish Government. He marked the great importance of the news agencies in life of the modern society in the conditions of the growing globalization in the world.
Indonesia was presiding in OANA during three last years. Now Turkey will preside the next three years. The General Director of the Indonesian news agency “ANTARA” Akhmed Mukhlis Usuf has presented the reins of government to the General Director of “Anadolu” Khilmi Bengi.
