President RB offers to develop Ufa suburbs

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov offered to develop local house building in the suburbs of Ufa. In his opinion further development of the capital RB becomes impossible without it.

“For today we have no a unified layout of the low-height construction on the territories, adjacent to Ufa” – he said during the discussion of Ufa’s general layout. The mass construction, running in the suburbs, isn’t fit into the general scheme of the city’s development and it looks so that the city itself is actively developing and the nearby areas live their own life”.

One more problem, hampering the development of Ufa is its geographical position. The city stretches from the north to the south by more than 50 kilometers and is surrounded by the rivers. At the so-called Ufa peninsula the promising sites for future construction are already practically absent and in order the city steps across the rivers the erection of new bridges is necessary and it demands serious financial backing.
