Bashkiria holds the second place in the Top 10 of the most notorious corruption cases

As the news agencies “RIA NOVOSTI” and “REGNUM” report, the Russian-speaking mass-media internet library www.public.ru has held the investigation of the corruption subject by the materials of more than one thousand and a half of printed mass-media – both federal and regional and made the list of the most notorious facts of bribery in the regions of Russian Federation, widely discussed in public in the third quarter of 2010.

The first place belongs to Moscow region with the fact of stealing of 25 billion rubles from the regional budget, which the American lady Jeanne Bullock and her wife, the ex-Minister of finances in Moscow region Alexei Kuznetsov are suspected of.

The second place in the “black” Top 10 belongs to Bashkiria with the “corruption” sum at one billion 64 million rubles. The former Minister of education RB Zinnat Allayarov and his ex-deputy, Minister of labor and population social protection RB Rinat Timerbaev have made a substantial contribution to this figure. The charges in abuse of rank and restriction of competition are brought against them and the damage, caused by the ministers to the budget, is estimated at 60 million rubles, said in the investigation.

At the same time the President of Bashkortostan has several times underscored at the yesterday’s meeting of the anti-corruption commission that they had to judge not the performers but those, who gave corresponding instructions to them.

“Who ordered the ministers to begin this or that construction without corresponding documentation? Who controlled the course of the construction? Now we are struggling with the “switchmen” but have to talk about the real leaders” – the President RB stated.
