The Kremlin-Museum to be erected on the territory of the ancient settlement Ufa-II

The construction of a big museum center is planned in Ufa on the territory of the ancient settlement Ufa-II, in the old part of the city and the President RB Rustem Khamitov has become acquainted with the model of the future museum on Monday.

The project of the museum center is stylized in the form of Ufa’s Kremlin and the history and up-to-dateness will be present in its architecture. It is expected it will cover the whole quarter with the area 3,6 hectares and will consist of four blocks with the information center, the museum of archeology, the historical museum and the scientific-research center. The approximate cost of the project can make about 1,5 billion rubles and 320 million is required for the first stage of the construction.

Rustem Khamitov has supported the idea and said that a part of this sum, necessary for the project’s realization, can be pre-planned already in the Republican budget-2011. The Republic can afford such costs. Rustem Khamitov added the specialists should consider various projects in order to choose more economy-type variant.

The erection of the museum center presumes preservation of the archeological monument – the ancient settlement Ufa-II. It will be located under the glass dome and open for a view.

It is also expected a high 22-storied hotel will be erected near the center – the similar project has not long ago been realized in Kazan.
