Support of young scientists is one of the most important aims for the Bashkir leadership

Preservation of intellectual potential and support of young scientists are one of the prior tasks for the present leadership of Bashkiria, the head of the region Rustem Khamitov said, communicating with the students and young specialists, presenting Bashkiria at the investment forum “SELIGER-2010”. Many investment projects of the students are really unique and represent absolutely new designs in sphere of medicine, oil-chemistry, development of small business and PR-marketing. Many big companies and institutes from other regions became interested in them. But one can’t find the investors here, in the Republic.

“The situation, when young scientists have to leave the Republic for Moscow, searching for support there is unfortunately becoming quite typical” – Rustem Khamitov said – “When I worked in Moscow I happened to meet many such young talents from Bashkiria. We have to change this situation and new designs should be developed inside the Republic but for that the young specialists should have good wages, housing and the possibility to make their projects a reality”.

The President RB sees the establishment of the special Republican fund, same as, for example, the Bortnik Fund, working at the all-Russian scale, as one of the variants of such support. Every year about 35 students from Bashkiria become the owners of this fund’s grants but the number of worthy projects is much more. In order to support these projects at the Republican level about 25-30 million rubles is required – the sum is rather modest for Bashkiria.
