Media-forum for heads of regional and municipal mass-media in Volga federal district to be held in Nizhniy Novgorod today

The media-forum for the heads of regional and municipal mass-media in the Volga federal district begins working in Nizhniy Novgorod today. The editors-in chief of the newspapers “Republic of Bashkortostan”, “Ufa Chronicles”, the regional supplement of “Arguments and Facts”, envoys of the news agency “Bashinform” and the radio “Sputnik FM” present Bashkortostan at the forum. The aims of the media-forum are: consolidation of the interrelations with the heads of regional mass-media, determination of the candidatures for formation of the Club of the editors-in chief of regional mass-media in the Volga federal district and the federal Club of editors-in chief.
The conference, where the prospects in development of the Volga federal district are to be discussed, and the discussion with the federal experts to the theme “The role of mass-media in the process of modernization” with participation of well-known Russian politicians and public activists, will take place within the frames of the forum. The forum is held within the frames of the interregional conference of “United Russia” regional divisions in the Volga federal district “The strategy of social-economic development in Volga region till 2020 – the Program fort 2010-2020”.
The interregional conference will be declared open in Nizhniy Novgorod on September 14 and the chairman of the political party “United Russia”, the head of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin expected to take part in its work. The Bashkir delegation at the conference will consist of about 50 people – one of the largest delegations. The President RB Rustem Khamitov will head the delegation and the chairman of “United Russia” regional division in Bashkortostan, the chairman of the State Council RB Constantine Tolkatchev is also found in its staff.
