Rustem Khamitov congratulated the Archbishop Nikon with the 20th anniversary of the bishop’s consecration

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov sent the governmental telegram to the address of the head of Ufa eparchy, the Archbishop of Ufa and Sterlitamac Nikon and heartily congratulated him with the remarkable event – the 20th anniversary of the bishop’s consecration.

“You devoted two decades to the service to the Russian Orthodox Church, to preservation of the traditions of the centuries-old Christian culture and inter-religious harmony. These years were filled with the intense labor on the integration of the Christian community and development of the efficient dialogue with the state and with the representatives of other religions, traditional for our land, and on solution of the social problems of all Christian believers. Your rich vicarial experience and high human qualities fairly won the authority and respect from the direction of all Christian believers of Bashkortostan.

Let me express my deep appreciation for your weighty contribution to the moral recovery of our society, consolidation of friendship and mutual understanding between people of different nationalities and beliefs in our Fatherland.
