Happy Railwayman Day!

The Railwayman Day is celebrated in Russia on the first Sunday of August and on this occasion the President RB Rustem Khamitov sent his congratulations to the address of workers and veterans of the Republican railway transport:

“Efficient social and economic development of the society is closely connected with stable functioning of its railways. Continuing actively progressing and introducing new innovational technologies, the steel trunk-railways remain one of the most popular and available kinds of transport in modern conditions too.

Stable functioning of the railway transport has great importance for our Republic with its highly developed economics and social sphere. All branches of Bashkortostan’s economy use the railway services. Nearly a half of the transported cargo falls on the oil products and rather substantial share – on the chemicals and agricultural supply. Along with the local cargo flows large volumes of transit traffic run through the Republic too.

Reliably meeting the growing needs of the Republic in passenger and cargo transportations the railway transport substantially influences upon further expansion of our economic relations with the neighboring Russian regions and foreign countries.

I am sure that our railway workers, solving the most important aims on safe transportation of passengers and freights, will provide for the improvement of our management structure, Republican transport infrastructure and the rise of the quality of their services by their persistent and selfless labor.

I wish you and your kinsfolk strong health, happiness and every success in your professional activity for the good of our native Bashkortostan and the whole of Russia!
